Summary
[Performance Introduction] C2dance <Model House> - Group or Choreographer Introduction: The C in C2dance has two meanings: Creative or See. ('C'reative-See "C2dance Company") Since its founding performance in 2017, C2dance is a contemporary dance group that brings together dancers, including representative Kim Jeong-hun, who are currently active in the dance scene, to pursue experimental and unique contemporary dance that actively communicates with the audience through dance. Contemporary dance choreographer Kim Jeong-hun is highly acclaimed for works that add dramatic elements through composition and delicacy, and he is active both domestically and internationally. He currently serves as the representative of the contemporary dance group 'C2dance' and as the artistic director of 'KimBell Art Lab,' and he lectures at Chung-Ang University and Korea National University of Arts. - Work Description: We dream of an ideal life, but its standards are shaped by the gaze of others. <Model House> reveals the deficiency, desire, and the structure of repetitive choices hidden behind a perfect image. Characters replicate each other, losing the boundaries of existence, as bodies and emotions function like machines. This work questions whether the ideals we pursue may be an illusion. Choreography: Kim Jeong-hun Cast: Kim Dong-hyeon, Seo Chae-rin, Jeong Da-bin, Choi Jong-won, Ha Yeon-su, Yu Tae-jun, Kang Da-eun, Lee Eun-yeong, Yu Ji-min, Tang Ga-beom, Jeung Ryeong-gyo, Park Jeong-u Artistic Director: Choi Sang-cheol Planning and Management: Seo Chae-rin Composition: Jang Ji-ho Stage Design: Shin Na-gyeong Duration: 25 minutes Yun Nara Project <Shell> - Group or Choreographer Introduction: The Yun Nara Project aims to objectify individual subjective thoughts by taking the body as the subject. Using the stage as a medium, it abstractly constructs new forms of space, exploring the relationship between movement, expression, and delivery methods to attempt an expansion of body language. Based on this, it seeks to propose new senses and perspectives from a contemporary viewpoint. Yun Nara is a choreographer who expands the essential elements of dance into the contemporary era based on in-depth exploration of movement and the body. She maximizes the possibilities of physical training and operation to build mise-en-scène on stage and precisely designs the sensory structures created by movement. Centering on a creative method that objectifies individual subjective thoughts through body language, she reconstructs the relationship between movement, space, and imagery. Through this, she forms a unique stage language and proposes a new experience of perception to the audience. - Work Description: Starting from a surrealist perspective, <Shell> seeks to reveal invisible inner anxiety and trauma through the body. Based on the state of humans constantly moving toward somewhere amidst an unknowable anxiety, it explores the process by which emotions are generated, accumulated in the unconscious, and expressed in various forms. Choreography: Yun Nara Cast: Yun Seung-min, Park Ji-hui, Kim Seok-hyeon, Kim Min-seo, Park Ji-bin, Seo Yeong-bin, Ha Yeon-ju, Namgung Min-ji, Kim So-hyeon, Eom Seon-u Costume: Scene Shin Ho-yeong Composition: Jang Ji-ho Duration: 25 minutes Lee Dong-ha <Dopamine Nation> - Choreographer Introduction: Lee Dong-ha pursues instinctive expression, focusing on natural movements where daily life becomes dance, with the goal of concretely realizing them through the stage. By approaching contemporary subject matter from various perspectives, he attempts to communicate with the audience through original expression. The themes of his previous works strongly carry contemporary issues and the sociality he experiences personally. Since the references collected are also based on the issues and media of the working period, the choreography extracts movement from them; thus, it can be said that the choreographer's perspective, the social atmosphere of the time, and the movement can each possess unique characteristics at that point in time. His representative works include various pieces such as <go>, <Guernica Again>, <Golconde>, <The More You Fall in Love, the More You Become Alone>, <Relationship>, <Marriage>, <Empty Hero>, <Betrayal of Images>, <Cruel Entertainment>, and <The Weeping Woman>. Furthermore, in addition to domestic activities, he has recently been officially invited to Spain, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, and Finland, continuing active performance activities both at home and abroad. - Work Description: <Dopamine Nation> is a work that explores how the brains and bodies of modern people, overexposed to digital stimulation, are being transformed and collapsing. Amidst the endless cycle of information and pleasure, humans gradually lose autonomy and emotional regulation. Through collaboration with neuroscientist Professor Kim Dae-sik, this work researches the effects of digital stimulation on the human nervous system scientifically. Based on this, it aims to multidimensionally stage the internal crisis of modern humans by infusing neuroscientific details into the choreography, stage, sound, and objects. Choreography: Lee Dong-ha Cast: Shin Won-min, Seo Bo-gwon, Sim Jae-ho, Kwon Eun-gi, Lee Hyeon-ji, Ha Ga-eun, Park Jin-ho, Kim Yun-mi, Kim Yeong-ung, Jo Hyeon-u, Min Gyeong-min Composition: Kim Hyeong-min Duration: 25 minutes
