Yeonga [Chuncheon]

[Performance Introduction] We live in a world overflowing with everything. In an era of excess, I wanted to present a performance that is somewhat sparse, lacking, or seemingly insufficient, by stripping things away. In an age of sensory inundation filled with brilliance, I wondered if there are essential things we have forgotten or are missing... This performance began with the thought of "emptying" rather than "filling." All sounds within the performance are played using analog sounds, excluding electronic sounds. Both the traditional Korean music performances and the Orff music sounds produced by the actors behind the scenes were intended to capture the natural essence of sound. The density of sound and the information conveyed through sound expand the audience's imagination. The performance is finally completed at the moment the stories unfolded by the actors on stage merge with the imagination of the audience. Since this work minimizes visual elements and relies primarily on hearing, it was planned and structured as a barrier-free performance that can be enjoyed by both people with and without visual impairments. I hope this becomes a performance that everyone, regardless of disability, can enjoy together.
