Yeongdo Culture and Arts Center Weekly OnStage, The Voyager, Jazz x Gugak: The First Voyage Maiden Vessel

[Performance Introduction] This June's Wednesday Matinee onStage features The Voyager. Composed of music that is not bound by genre and freely crosses the boundaries of instruments, this performance is a special musical journey created by bassist Kim Dae-gyeong, pianist Min Ju-sin, daegeum player Ko Hyeon-ah, and janggu player Ahn Yu-jin. By naturally combining elements of Gugak and jazz, this stage brings different genres and instruments together to create new resonances, presenting an original sound that is not easily heard anywhere else. The audience will become Voyagers boarding the musical space called Vessel created by them, enjoying the performance as if sailing together. It will be a stage where you can experience the unique charm of Gugak and jazz harmonizing amidst free melodies and sensory rhythms.
