What is life really like for the influencers on Instagram, idolized by many? “IS Inbyeol”, whose real name is actually Bokja, has won the Best Influencer Award. Along with her old-fashioned name comes a distinct dialect to boot. Her boyfriend, composer Jinhyuk, is frustrated by the way Bokja conceals her true self behind her polished persona as Inbyeol on social media. The more she becomes someone different from the woman he once loved, the more their relationship begins to strain. In fact, Bokja’s act as another version of herself on social media isn’t so far from what many of us do—the only difference being the number of followers. The show keeps audiences laughing, yet leaves them pondering the question: “Which constitutes my real self?” · “Inside Me” is a performance destined to make the leap from Korea to the global stage. From early on, it has provided subtitles in English, Chinese, and Japanese, and has been selected for the K-Tourism Roadshow showcase as well as various government-funded programs, forging its reputation as a rising new ambassador of K-musicals.
